Berkshire Healthcare are seeking2organisedand motivated candidatesfor Band3MSKPhysiotherapy Assistant rolesin the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient team. There aretwopart timeposts(26hours)based atWest BerkshireCommunity HospitalorWokingham Community Hospital.
Ideallywe are looking for someone with experience in this role or inhealthcarebut this is not essential. This job would be particularly well suited to applicants with a background in sports and exercise, with experience of delivering exercise and manual therapy.We will provide in-house training to develop the necessary competencies and mentoring to upskill the successful candidate.
OurTherapy Assistants are highly valued members of our clinical team who help us to deliver excellent care and rehabilitation to an extremely varied cohort of patients. You will beclosely supportedby the team which, depending on location, iscompromisedof Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Assistants and Administrators.
• Assistingthe physiotherapists in the delivery of individual and group exercise programmes. This may involve delivering exercise sessions, hands on therapies such as massage and patient education. Training is provided in any of the modalities used.All patients are initially assessed by the physiotherapist.
• Ensuringstock and equipment levels aremaintainedand re-ordered on a regular basis and that equipment is wellmaintainedand clean in line with infection control guidelines.
• Carryingownpatientcaseload with simple predictable conditionsdelegated byatherapist.
• Assistingin the administrative duties of the physiotherapy service whenrequired, including reception duties, data inputting,photocopying,assistingwith audits and completing patient records.
