Do you need a change from your current role? Do you have experience with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, Dyslexia, and Challenging Behaviour in a primary school or similar settings? A Primary school based in East Challow, Wantage needs a permanent Year 5 SEMH Teaching Assistant to work within their PRU/SEN unit. You will work closely with the SENCO to devise EHCPs and offer intervention. Year 5 is in high demand for expanding the SEN team, as they have 30% of the year group diagnosed or suspected with SEN.

5. Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 3:15pm
6. Term time only
7. Location: East Challow, Wantage - excellent transport links, great for candidates in Grove, East Challow, and Arlington.
Essential Requirements:
1. Up to date enhanced DBS Check
2. At least 1 year of SEN childcare experience (preferred)
3. Safeguarding children certificate
SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
1. Provide close classroom support and assist the teacher with the children's learning tasks to maximize their progress.
2. Facilitate the students' integration and social skills.
3. Prepare lesson/classroom plans and maintain a well-organized, tidy, and stimulating classroom environment.
4. Identify safeguarding and behavioral issues, providing feedback to the teacher and SEMH Teaching Assistant team.
