Project Manager Key responsibilities Liaise with the company’s H&S team to ensure that Health and Safety are at the forefront of all activities Safely, with zero accidents or H&S issues To budget To timetable Minimize disruption to the company’s business activities and customers as much as possible The project scope will include : Substantial building modification / construction – covers both industrial factory environments and office areas Alterations to site circulation plan, and car parks Introduction of new welfare areas Significant upgrades to the company’s production lines Upgrades may include mechanical, hydraulic and electrical updates Changes to the existing factory layout Detailed description of Role In conjunction with the company’s H&S team manage day to day safety on all project activities Meeting with top management and stakeholders to identify project requirements, delivery timelines and costs Drive project planning, tendering processes, cost summary, and project reporting Qualify and quantify all bids, value engineering proposals and constructability reviews Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders including : Management team, business leads and group teams Consultants (architects, construction companies, industrial machinery suppliers etc) Local government bodies for planning approvals Carefully manage construction teams delivering the building enhancements with the engineering teams delivering the production line updates to ensure the project is delivered in the safest, most cost effective and timely fashion Manage compliance of contractual responsibilities and contract documents and provide dispute resolution and risk mitigation Manage all contract and change order costs, including negotiating, processing, and assessing impacts Provide regular performance status reports regarding cost forecasts, schedule, and safety Immediately communicate to the project team H&S issues / potential risk Delivery delays Required Qualifications (the following are highly desirable) : Degree in a STEM, business or finance Recognized project management qualification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Projects in Controlled Environments 2 (PRINCE2) NeBosh (certificate / diploma)
