Stores Person
My client is looking for an experienced motivated Stores Person to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play an important role with the engineering operation of the business with responsibility for administration, working with the companys CMS system, time & attendance & purchasing duties within the engineering department, ensuring that a flawless flow is maintained.
The successful candidate will be organised with a strong eye for detail & will ensure that all administrative tasks are done efficiently at all times.
The successful candidate will have done a similar role as a Stores Person or Engineering Admin Officer, ideally within a food manufacturing/chilled food/ready meal/FMCG or similar environment with the ability to develop & thrive in a busy engineering environment and willl be working with a friendly and inclusive workplace with a great team that is passionate to provide the best quality service and products.
The Role:
The successful Stock Person will be responsible for the following:
* Stock control development using Pirana CMMS
* Building and organising physical stocks as laid out in Pirana CMMS
* Ensure bins and racks are properly labelled with reference to CMMS stock list
* Procurement of equipment critical spares as OEM recommended
* Ability to negotiate with vendors for spare part cost reduction
* Procurement of engineers tools and equipment as required
* Ability to search for alternative product supplier for cost reduction without compromising quality
* Sourcing non-stock emergency spare parts
* Alignment with planner and engineers to ensure parts are available for scheduled works
* Periodic inventory stock taking and reporting
* Maintain stores housekeeping to a high standard
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar Stores Person role, ideally within a food manufacturing/chilled food/ready meal production/FMCG
* Ideally from an engineering background
* Good communicator across all levels
* Good IT skills & knowledge of CMMS software
* Strong ability to work with minimal supervision
* The ability to identify opportunities to improve process
* Well organised with a strong attention to detail
Salary & Benefits:
The starting salary for this role is £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience plus 33 days holiday (including bank holidays back in lieu), pension, life assurance, extensive discounts for you & your family, career development support, a great working environment and mental health support.
