The Vacancy
Do you have experience supporting vulnerable adults in accommodation, with varying needs?
Would you like to provide accommodation support to 18+ individuals?
One YMCA runs high quality housing services. This opportunity is part of a committed team supporting 18+. You will support our clients to adjust to living in temporary supported accommodation, and work with external services to support them to identify move on accommodation. The service provides intensive wrap-around 24-hour support.

The Role:
1. You will provide a high quality service to the beneficiaries of One YMCA.
2. You will be required to assist clients to attend appointments within the community.
3. Encourage and oversee that the accommodation is kept clean & tidy.
4. Facilitate budgeting and oversee any housing benefit issues, universal credit sanctions and meet frequently with your caseload to provide support.
5. Be available to talk to clients, provide them with a safe space to talk where this is appropriate and ensure that any relevant issues raised by clients are recorded and communicated to relevant staff.
6. Be responsible for any duties directed by the Supported Housing Manager and other colleagues.
Requirements:
1. You will have experience supporting vulnerable adults with varying needs.
2. As a Casual Supported Housing Officer you will cover various evenings, bank holidays and weekends.
3. Understanding of equal opportunities and their applications within a Hostel context.
4. Experience in carrying out assessments and developing support plans.
