To successfully integrate these assets, we are seeking a Project Manager – Asset Handover to lead the coordination, documentation, and transition of assets into our business and maintenance operations. This role is essential in ensuring that all new assets are identified, structured, and handed over efficiently, so they can be seamlessly managed for years to come. If you have experience managing infrastructure asset handovers, coordinating stakeholders, and working with structured data/document control systems in projects such as transport, highways, or infrastructure development, then we want to hear from you. In addition to this as our Project Manager you will assume responsibility for: Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for asset handover coordination, working closely with West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA), Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), Midland Metro Alliance (MMA), and internal teams. Facilitate effective communication to align on asset handover requirements and timelines. Lead regular meetings, progress reports and briefings to keep stakeholders informed. Implement a formal escalation process for resolving missing or disputed asset records efficiently. Information Readiness: Collate, verify, and prepare asset-related information to ensure smooth transition into the business. Use Bentley ProjectWise for document control, ensuring information is organised and accessible. Collaborate with WMCA, TfWM, and MMA to ensure data completeness and accuracy. Adhere to document management procedures and legal/regulatory requirements. Work with AMIS administrators to structure asset information for maintenance planning and long-term use. Handover Management (BIM/ISO 19650): Implement document control processes in compliance with BIM (ISO 19650) standards. Oversee the digital exchange of asset information using Bentley ProjectWise. Asset Handover Certification Process: Coordinate asset identification and labelling through site visits. Conduct final checks and site verification inspections. Assist in managing the asset handover certification process, ensuring documentation meets legal and regulatory standards. Archive certification documentation (e.g., Health & Safety files, red-line drawings, as-built drawings) for future reference. Perform monthly quality reviews of asset records, O&M manuals, and compliance certifications. Risk & Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the asset handover process. Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements. To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have: A full driving license and access to your own vehicle. Professional experience working with infrastructure, highways or metro projects. Professional working experience with Project Management, Information Management or a qualification in a relevant field. Familiarity with other project management tools or platforms used in document control. It would be great if you had: Knowledge of asset lifecycle management and it’s integration into document control practices. A working understanding of BIM ISO 19650 standards and their application to asset management and document control. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A working knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise for document management and information control. Knowledge of MS SharePoint for document management and information control.
