Finance Assistant - Temp / Temp to Perm

4 day working week Monday to Friday 8am - 5.30pm (38 hrs), or part time hours may be offered to the right candidate, minimum of 25hrs.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assist the Head of Department with day-to-day financial operations.
* Manage purchase ledger and credit card transactions for both UK and USA operations.
* Process payroll and administer pension schemes.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
* Utilise SAGE 50 Accounts for financial reporting and analysis.
* Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable.
* Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a finance assistant or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of purchase ledger and accounts payable processes.
* Experience with payroll processing and pension administration.
* Familiarity with VAT returns and compliance.
* Proficient in SAGE 50 Accounts and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
