About the Opportunity:
We are looking for talented and enthusiastic Senior Construction Manager who is keen to join Jacobs to complement our existing project delivery team. The Senior Construction Manager is accountable for the supervision, direction and monitoring of day to day operation on site, ensuring that all contractors are coordinated and working effectively to the delivery program.
The candidate will aid in delivering projects to our key clients and driving the growth of our business in this sector by managing the following tasks:
1. Coordinating a workforce of multi-disciplined tradesmen and subcontractors;
2. Preconstruction development of programs;
3. Safely delivering projects across the site;
4. Managing projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015;
5. Developing Safe Systems of work and RAMS;
6. Engaging and developing strong relationships with client managers, regulators and other stakeholders, including internal Jacobs management;
7. Managing and taking hands on ownership of delivery from inception to completion, to deliver client benefits and achieve or improve upon set objectives of time, cost, safety and quality;
8. Reporting back project progress to the wider delivery team, Project Managers and Project Directors.
Here's What You'll Need:
9. A recognised qualification in construction (C&G/Degree/HNC/HND or Equivalent);
10. CSCS Black Manager’s Card or equivalent;
11. SMSTS 5 day course qualification;
12. NEBOSH qualification is preferred;
13. Experience in delivering construction projects in excess of £10m;
14. Ability to influence and lead teams;
15. Experience in construction of commercial buildings and offices;
16. Hands on Construction Management Experience in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015 and experience as a Principal Contractor;
17. Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector;
18. Ability to obtain a minimum level of SC Clearance;
19. UK Driving Licence and Ability to Work in the UK.
