Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Marketing Manager to join our team.
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial marketing for Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre, the Marketing Manager helps maintain and grow our reputation as a leading outdoor learning provider and thriving social enterprise.
Working closely with the senior outdoor learning team you will contribute to strengthening UK Youth’s outdoor learning impact and reinforcing our position as leaders in outdoor learning.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase participation and revenue across our outdoor learning portfolio.
Manage and strengthen AvonTyrrell's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications.
Use customer insights and content to develop case studies and testimonials to demonstrate the value of outdoor learning experiences.
Oversee and enhance Avon Tyrrell’s website, ensuring it is engaging, user-friendly, and optimised for search engines.
Manage social media channels, creating compelling content to drive engagement and brand awareness.
Produce high-quality written, visual, and video content that highlights the transformative impact of outdoor learning.
Personal Qualities and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marketing and communications, with a keen ability to analyse market trends and implement effective campaigns. This role requires excellent organisational skills, creativity, and proficiency in various marketing tools and platforms. The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand presence and driving customer engagement.
Proven experience in marketing, preferably in education, outdoor learning, charity, or tourism sectors.
Strong digital marketing skills, including social media management, content creation, and email marketing.
Excellent copywriting and storytelling abilities, with a passion for crafting engaging content.
Experience of managing websites, with knowledge of SEO and analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, etc.).
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse audiences.
Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Empathy with the needs of young peopleand a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
Flexible approach to work and be hands on to get the task done.
