This role is pivotal in providing high-quality repair and maintenance services to our social housing tenants across Birmingham. Key Responsibilities: Carpentry: Carry out a variety of carpentry tasks including door and window installations, flooring, cabinetry, and structural repairs. Plumbing: Perform basic plumbing work such as fixing leaks, installing sinks and toilets, and unblocking drains. Plaster Patching: Repair damaged walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth, professional finish. Tiling: Install and repair wall and floor tiles in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas. Multi-Trade Maintenance: Address a range of repair and maintenance issues within social housing properties, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. Tenant Interaction: Communicate effectively with tenants to schedule work, address their concerns, and ensure minimal disruption during repairs. Health & Safety: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for both yourself and the tenants. Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with Birmingham City Council’s guidelines and regulations. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Carpenter, with a strong focus on social housing or residential maintenance. Proficiency in carpentry, including door and window fitting, flooring, and structural repairs. Basic plumbing skills, including fixture installation and leak repair. Experience in plaster patching and tiling, with the ability to deliver high-quality finishes. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a focus on tenant satisfaction. A valid UK driving licence is essential, as the role will involve travel between properties
