About the Role
As Head of SENDCO, you will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring that the SEND faculty continues to meet the diverse and evolving needs of students. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee the provision for students with SEND/SEMH needs, ensuring their progress and well:being.
You will:
*Manage and lead the SEND faculty.
*Inspire and develop teaching staff and teaching assistants.
*Make strategic contributions to the academys direction, particularly regarding SEND and inclusion.
*Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accurate documentation.
*Drive curriculum and enrichment opportunities for SEND students.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
*A proven track record of successful SEND leadership and measurable impact.
*Outstanding teaching practice in their subject area, with evidence of raising attainment.
*National Professional Qualification for SEND (NASENCO) or be working towards the NPQ in SEND.
*At least four years leadership experience, preferably in SEND or pastoral areas.
*Strong organisational and communication skills to lead and inspire staff.
