Tradewind are currently seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join our team to work in one of our nurseries located in Hackney. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Job Duties:
1. Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
2. Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programmes.
3. Supporting children's physical, emotional, and social development
4. Assisting with personal care routines, including feeding, changing diapers, and toilet training
5. Observing and monitoring children's progress and development
6. Working collaboratively with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
7. Supervising and engaging children during indoor and outdoor play
8. Promoting positive behaviour and discipline
9. Assisting the Nursery Room Leader and teaching team as required
10. Implementing phonics, numeracy, reading, and writing activities
11. Providing support to the teaching staff as a Teaching Assistant
Desired Qualifications:
12. Level 3 qualification in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
13. Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification
14. Early Years Practitioner Level 3 qualification
Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
15. Strong understanding and knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
16. Previous experience working as a Nursery Nurse or in a similar role.
17. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
18. Ability to effectively plan and deliver age-appropriate activities.
19. Good understanding of phonics, numeracy, and early literacy skills
20. Basic knowledge of child development and behaviour management
21. Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
22. Additional relevant childcare qualifications
23. First Aid certification
24. Experience working with children with special educational needs
