Our client is a leading manufacturer of products supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland. We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across production equipment to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum and production runs efficiently.
Monday to Friday Days, a great opportunity for someone looking to get away from shifts. Suitable candidates will need to be qualified Level 3 Engineering or similar, with maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing/production setting.
The Role
1. Carry out maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
2. Mechanical and electrical repairs on a range of machinery to minimise downtime
3. Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root cause
4. Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
5. Comply with company HSEQ and ensure risks are eliminated during maintenance work
6. Record maintenance information using maintenance software
7. Promote best practice in maintenance, quality, housekeeping and H&S
8. Work with colleagues effectively and across all areas of the business
What we are looking for
1. Level 3 qualified apprenticeship Engineering or similar
2. Proven maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing/production setting
3. Strong Mechanical skills and knowledge, welding, fitting, repairs etc.
4. Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC's, drives, motors
5. Can understand mechanical and electrical drawings
