Position: Project Director
Team: Natural Resources Team
Client: Thames Water
Location: Thames Valley region
Contract: Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know.
As a Project Director, you'll be working within our Natural Resources business. You will lead large-scale projects of critical importance to our client. The projects will involve the design, construction, and commissioning of Thames Capital Works. The aim is to significantly upgrade the wastewater/water treatment capacity and meet stringent environmental regulations while ensuring long-term sustainability and community benefits without disruption to the network.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing collaborative and effective client management relationships to mutual benefit through anticipating client needs, exceeding expectations, and fostering open communication.
2. Providing overall leadership and direction for the project, ensuring it meets all objectives within budget, schedule, and quality constraints.
3. Developing and implementing a comprehensive project management plan, including risk management, communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
4. Developing the capability of your team, ensuring best practice performance management and identifying and developing talent.
This role of Project Director is great for you if you have:
1. Extensive project management experience and delivery of high-value infrastructure projects.
2. Experience leading large, complex infrastructure projects, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
3. A proven track record of successful project delivery on time and within budget.
4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management principles, and construction practices.
5. Experience working with government agencies and navigating regulatory requirements.
