With a turnover of £18 million and an ambitious plan to reach £35 million in the next five years, they are investing in their sales team to accelerate growth.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving sales and expanding the company’s client base. You will be responsible for following up on quotations, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients. You will also provide technical guidance and support, helping to drive successful sales and long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:
* Follow up on quotations provided by estimators, ensuring timely communication with clients to close deals or record losses.
* Use the CRM system to identify new tender opportunities and contact main contractors and mechanical contractors for enquiries on new buildings.
* Provide technical guidance to clients (after receiving the necessary training).
* Conduct meetings with clients, both face-to-face and via Teams, to discuss proposals and provide presentations (once trained).
* Work closely with the sales team to ensure consistency and accuracy in client interactions.
* Earn commission based on successful sales, with payment received monthly as the company is paid by the client.
About You
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the engineering or construction sectors
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients at all levels.
* A results-oriented mindset, with the ability to close sales and drive business growth.
* Comfortable using databases and other software to track leads and opportunities.
* Full training will be provided on technical aspects of the business.
* A self-motivated, ambitious individual looking to contribute to a growing business.
