We’re looking for a Paediatric Site Practitioner (PSP) to join The Portland Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and the UK’s only private hospital dedicated to the healthcare needs of women and children. Our team of Paediatric Site Practitioners offer 24/7 cover across our wards, supporting with the assessment and management of acutely unwell and deteriorating paediatric patients, escalating as appropriate into HDU/PICU. As a Paediatric Site Practitioner, you’ll provide a visible clinical presence around the site, acting as a role model and expert practitioner. We’ll look to you to use your advanced nursing skill to co-ordinate resources and work closely with on-site Duty Managers. Day-to-day you’ll be involved in the in the PICU step-down process and support with bed allocation as a key member of the Clinical Emergency Team. Out of hours, you’ll be part of Paediatric Hospital at Night Team to ensure a timely and appropriate response to patients’ needs.
