About the role A brief summary We are seeking a finance assistant to support our financial operations in preparing reports, reconciling accounts and maintain accurate financial records. This role will be reporting into the management accountant and is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of financial processes, contributing to budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. This is an exciting role with the opportunity to broaden your learning and understanding of finance processes by working closely with the finance team. As Finance Assistant you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the businesses finance function. Based primarily between our Watford and High Wycombe Office but may be required to trave between sites if necessary, on an adhoc basis. What you’ll be responsible for Liaising with both the accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure transactions are coded correctly. Processing capital expenditure and maintenance of the fixed asset register. Providing banks with the necessary asset information for new lease agreements. Variance analysis by investigating the difference between actual and budgeted. Processing intercompany transactions and reconciling accounts. Balance sheet reconciliation including accruals, prepayments, and work in progress accounts. Assist with month and year end closing procedures. This role is for you if Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field Or working towards qualification such AAT, CIMA or ACCA. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Strong organisational skills Strong numerical and analytical skills Good communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, word etc.) Ability to work on their own initiative
