About the role.
As a Development Manager, you will work as an integral part of the development team in a fast-moving environment, producing innovative food products that can be mass-produced without any loss of quality or taste, reflecting our customer's trends and requirements.
You will provide support at all key stages from concept/ideation to handover to the Process Team, ensuring a smooth transition.
Role Accountabilities
1. Business Communication: Has effective internal working relationships across key functions to ensure the delivery of the Development process activity.
2. Leadership: Manages and supports the team to effectively deliver the development activity to the highest standard, ensuring delivery of projects through critical path management.
3. Customer: Has good overall awareness of retailer development requirements and their relevant brand standards, maintaining effective customer relationships.
4. Culinary: Has the ability to present products to internal and external customers, demonstrating culinary knowledge and expertise.
5. Category Management: Understands category management principles and can apply them.
6. Product Innovation: Has a good awareness of relevant food trends, uses all mediums to generate ideas, and can funnel and prioritize.
7. Business Knowledge: Fully understands relevant site capabilities and has an understanding of broader Group capabilities.
8. Product Development Cycle: Manages the internal business development process ensuring product development aligns with customer and business expectations.
9. Market Awareness: Has an overall awareness of relevant product ranges in the market, monitoring and benchmarking product quality and escalating issues.
10. Pipeline Management: Responsible for ensuring all product development is clear and accurate on the sector pipeline document.
11. Behaviours: Attention to detail, fast-paced, positive, dynamic, creative, tenacious, resilient, alignment to BV values.
About you.
1. 1-2 years experience from a similar FMCG role in the food industry.
2. Excellent organisational, investigative problem-solving, and communication skills.
3. Drive, energy, and enthusiasm.
4. Previous experience of working within a results-oriented team.
5. Good standard of IT skills to include PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
6. Customer experience.
7. People management skills.
8. Innovative.
9. Critical thinking skills.
10. Critical path management.
11. Full UK Driving licence (Location dependent).
