The successful candidate will be part of the out of hours on-call consultant rota (1 in 15) and paid at 3% on call supplement

South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Psychiatry Intensive Care Unit (PICU) based at Fieldhead Hospital, Ouchthorpe Lane, Wakefield. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the Wakefield Acute Care Pathway. Walton PICU Ward is a 14-bed adult psychiatry intensive care unit (PICU) based at the Unity Centre, Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield.

1. Fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practise or be in a position to have a licence to practice on commencement in the post.
2. Included on the GMC Specialist Register for General Psychiatry, or within six months of gaining CCT.
3. Approved or eligible clinician status.
4. Approved or eligible under S12.
