Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our construction team. In this role, you will work on a variety of construction projects, contributing to both the structural and aesthetic elements of our builds. Your expertise in woodworking, problem-solving, and attention to detail will ensure our projects meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities
* General Carpentry: Perform all aspects of carpentry, including framing, installing doors and windows, building cabinets, and crafting custom woodwork.
* Reading Blueprints & Plans: Accurately interpret and follow technical drawings, specifications, and building plans to complete assigned tasks.
* Structural Work: Assist in the construction of frameworks, such as walls, floors, and roofs, ensuring that all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
* Finishing Work: Handle finish carpentry tasks, including trim installation, cabinetry, moulding, and other decorative wood elements that enhance the quality and appearance of a project.
* Tool & Equipment Use: Safely operate power tools and hand tools, ensuring that all equipment is used according to best practices and maintained in good working order.
* Material Selection: Identify and select appropriate materials for specific projects, ensuring quality and sustainability considerations are met.
* Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any carpentry issues that arise during construction, adapting plans as necessary to meet client and project specifications.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety guidelines on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a carpenter
* Experience with Power Tools and Hand Tools
* Knowledge of Framing techniques
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints or plans
* Attention to detail and precision in work
* Physical strength and stamina
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant certification or apprenticeship in Carpentry
