Working within the Tempcover Finance team based out of Fleet, the Finance Manager will be responsible for all management accounts relating to Tempcover. Responsible for 3 direct reports and reporting to the Financial Controller. Tempcover is a dynamic and rapidly evolving business vertical within the RVU Group. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-energy setting, where adaptability, effective prioritisation, and a proactive approach are key to success.
What you will be doing:
* Ownership for monthly reporting of the division’s performance
* Management of the Tempcover finance team (3 direct reports)
* Producing monthly divisional reporting packs and commentary
* Review and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations to agreed timelines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
* Manage statutory and group year end audit requirements
* Work with the Tempcover IT and product teams to understand, report and budget all IT costs
* Work with the financial planning analyst and wider business to review costs
* Lead on process improvement meetings to drive efficiency with the Tempcover finance team
* Manage team delivery of financial reporting in line with month end timetable
* Provide weekly cash flow forecasting for Tempcover
* Manage VAT returns for Tempcover
* Ensure adequate internal financial controls are in place and provide assurance that these controls are in place
* Provide information such as cash flow forecasting and actual vs budget analysis promptly to the group reporting team
* Produce accounting papers for technical accounting areas
* Support with tax requests received from our group tax department
* Maintain and update financial policies and procedures alongside the group finance team
* Support the Finance Controller on maintaining the Tempcover group management account pack, cash flow forecasting and any other ad hoc projects/key stakeholder requests
What we're looking for:
* Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE).
* Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel for example including the ability to use Vlookup, Advanced conditional formatting, pivot tables, filters and charts.
* Strong Knowledge of IFRS: Competent in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) with the ability to apply these principles in practical scenarios.
* Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to present financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
* Leadership and People Management: Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage, and develop teams, promoting a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
* Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders across various functions, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
* Proactive and Ownership-driven: A self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of issues/projects, driving initiatives forward with a focus on results.
* Adaptability and Team Collaboration: Flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving environment, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
* Time Management and Prioritisation: Strong ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a high-pressure setting.
* Confidence and People Skills: A confident and personable leader, able to coach and mentor team members while liaising with senior stakeholders to support business goals.
* Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
