Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is a 27-year-old male living in the WR14 area of Malvern who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support with all daily living tasks for up to 16 hours per week.
Our client has a diagnosis of Autism with Profound Learning Difficulties. Our client is minimally verbal using a mix of Makaton, Gestures, Vocalisations and PECS to communicate. Our client requires support with all aspects of daily living including personal care.
Our client is a happy young man who enjoys visiting charity shops to look for DVDs and toys and he also enjoys coffee shops and pub gardens and people watching.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends.
Support to attend day centre on Wednesdays.
Do hobbies such as visiting cafés and shopping in charity shops for DVD’s and toys. Our client also enjoys train journeys.
Support on special days out to West Midlands Safari Park or Slimbridge.
Personal care: support with all aspects of personal care.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.

Specific requirements: Must have previous care & support experience. Must hold a clean driving license.
Hours of work: Up to 16 hours per week –
Wednesday 8am-4:30pm & Thursday 9am-4pm
Rate of pay: £12.60 per hour.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
