About The Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor / Associate based in our Cardiff Office, working in the Employment and Immigration Team alongside two of our Employment Partners. We offer an interesting and varied caseload including employment tribunal litigation, advising commercial clients, and working on the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
* Advise on a range of Employment issues across a breadth of sectors.
* Develop and maintain knowledge on issues within Employment, working collaboratively with colleagues across the whole Employment team to share knowledge.
* Develop opportunities for referral of work across the business and actively participate in business development opportunities.
* Primarily work on behalf of employers and respondents but with the ability to act for senior employees/executives or members of representative organisations, if required.
* Manage a varied caseload including Corporate Support; Drafting Contracts, Settlement Agreements; Restrictive Covenants; Re-organisations and TUPE.
* All types of ET work (including some advocacy) for Claimants and Respondents (we are on a national panel for a very large representative organisation).
* Familiarity with CPR and employment-related civil litigation desirable.
* HR support work for business and third sector clients.
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Excellent organisational capability with excellent attention to detail.
* Ideally 3-5 years PQE.
* Proven ability to develop business.
* Team player who can offer support and guidance to other team members and work collaboratively and collegially with colleagues.
* Client service focused with the ability to handle demanding stakeholders.
* Ideally with respondent/commercial or public sector experience. Alternatively, candidates with significant experience of acting for representative organisations will be considered.
