THE ROLE
Salary: £24,300 - £28,367 per annum depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Job Purpose
BBC Wales Business and Operations, Planning and Scheduling Team support programme output across several areas from live O.B. events, continuing News output, Studio programmes etc. This position is vital to supporting the department, staff, freelancers and resources to programmes.
The purpose of the role is to provide a wide range of business support services to managers and team members. To effectively contract and schedule staff resources in accordance with production and transmission requirements, conditions of service and objectives of the operational area. To effectively contract and manage the payment of suppliers and freelancers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Reporting to the Business Advisor, and work closely to support the work of the Business Partner – Planning, Operations Team Leaders, Unit Managers, Senior Resource Schedulers, Resource Schedulers and operational staff within Operations.
2. Responsible for processing a high volume of freelance payments via Smartbook.
3. Responsible for completing Eligibility to Work checks for new freelancers.
4. Liaise with Senior Resource Schedulers, Resource Schedulers, H.R. and Freelancers to process and resolve any issues or queries with their payments.
5. Raise sales orders and purchase orders via My Business, check supplier invoices in the system for payment and processing.
6. Deal with issues or queries arising from invoicing and payments to suppliers, staff, talent and contingent workforce.
7. Schedule staff and facilities in line with production requirements using Workplace (resource scheduling tool).
8. Work with the Business Advisor to manage and maintain the scheduling system, Workplace.
9. Assist with statistical financial information as required for the control of all expenditure.
10. Contribute to the smooth running of a busy operational department while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
1. Ability to adapt to continually changing business needs.
2. Sound knowledge and experience of purchasing system, scheduling systems, and well-developed IT skills.
3. Maintain awareness of key dates/deadlines and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines.
4. Team player who can provide valued contributions to business discussions.
5. Comfortable working with colleagues at differing levels of seniority.
