We’re looking for a Technical Manager to join a well-established food manufacturer who supply award winning chilled products to the UK retailer and food service market.
From a technical point of view, they’re in a strong place with a BRC AA+ and no current gaps in the team.
The role would suit a tried-and-tested Technical Manager as opposed to someone stepping up.
Role Responsibilities
Reporting directly into the Head of Technical, you’ll be tasked with:
* Managing the day-to-day activities of the technical team on site, you’ll have one direct report and coach a small team of QAs.
* Ensuring the HACCP system is adhered to and managing site audit schedules to ensure compliance.
* You’ll be factory focussed, responsible for all the audits.
* From time to time, you’ll find yourself customer facing with the major retailers.
* Proactively communicating information to the Directors on technical performance.
* You’ll act as a point of contact between the factory technical team and the wider technical team.
Candidate.
* You will need to have a chilled food background to succeed in this role.
* Previous experience as a Technical Manager within food manufacturing is essential, this wouldn’t suit someone stepping up.
* HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.
* A working knowledge of BRC V9.
