Are you looking for a challenge or change of career if so w e have an exciting opportunity within Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust ASLT Team for a new Assistant Practitioner role within the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team. This post will be working within the ASLT service across Berkshire alongside the SLT Team and other MDT. This role would suit someone keen to work within SLT a nd with an interest in working with Adults with acquired disorders and clients that have dysphagia /swallowing problems. The role i s to support the SLT in providing therapy and includ es developing resources for communication and dysphagia clients - this will include some AAC materials and equipment. The role is fulltime 37.5 hours and you will need to be a car driver so you can visit community sites including home visits to care homes and client homes. There is flexibility in the days and hours worked over the week and all training will be provided to ensure you feel supported in the role. As an assistant practitioner you will be developing a new role for training and therapy so must have a keen desire to - to work independently and be responsive to the needs of the service Be highly organised and able to manage your own workload. Have a keen interest in healthcare and be driven to provide an excellent service for clients, families, and carers.
