Are you a SEND teaching assistant with experience of working with children with Autism? If you are an SEND specialist, or have strengths as a learning support assistant for children with Autism, this is the role for you!
From April, a Huddersfield Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a girl in Year 1 with Autism.
Day to day responsibilities for this SEND teaching assistant role:
1. Supporting with behaviour
2. Supporting the child with learning through play and learning activities
3. Interventions
4. Some personal care
As a support assistant, you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs, which will mean being able to think on the spot and being flexible with her timetable. The pupil will require some occasional personal care.
Does this sound like the perfect role for you? Then you could be this pupil's new learning support assistant as soon as possible and really make her school day a positive experience. Get in touch today!
