We are a small engineering company based in Stevenage, specialising in the design, manufacture, and consultancy of advanced microwave telecommunications products. While our primary expertise lies in passive microwave filters, we also design and produce a diverse range of related components, sub-systems, and products. Our team is continually developing innovative solutions by leveraging extensive engineering expertise and state-of-the-art design software.
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly and Test Technician/Assistant. Candidates must hold basic qualifications in Mathematics and English as a minimum.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Demonstrate the aptitude to acquire new skills and adapt to emerging technologies (full training will be provided).
2. Exhibit practical skills and dexterity for intricate assembly work, including tasks requiring the use of a microscope.
3. Utilise tools and equipment such as a soldering iron, hot plate, tweezers, scalpel, and pressure test equipment to assemble products based on technical drawings and 3D models.
4. Over time, and with appropriate training, contribute to tuning and testing processes.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data recording and basic report writing.
2. A responsible, proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and take on additional skills.
3. A versatile and practical approach, with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
4. An interest in advancing from production roles into engineering responsibilities will be supported and encouraged for candidates demonstrating the requisite aptitude and discipline.
Additional Information:
Job Type: Full-time; however, applications from candidates seeking part-time work may also be considered.
