The Systems Support Officer's post is part of CDD Services Procurement Information Team and is responsible for the provision of an effective, efficient, and professional procurement system and information service to all stakeholder organisations.
Main duties of the job
To undertake all system administration duties in relation to the electronic purchase order system which will include user setup, profiles, branch/delivery setup, and template maintenance, etc.
Resolution of all helpdesk calls from Cardea end-users and subsequent logging and maintenance of the electronic database.
Provide support and advice to CDD Services procurement team members on electronic supplier catalogues, regarding price compliance, amendments, additions, and deletions.
To become fully conversant with Trust SFIs, operational policies, and procedures to ensure all purchases comply with relevant guidance.
Liaise directly with suppliers to progress catalogue and information requirements to achieve both quality and VfM outcomes for the Trust and/or stakeholder organisations.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will report directly to the Systems Manager and will work closely with all procurement, purchasing, and materials management staff within CDD Services.
The post holder will provide an effective and efficient procurement system and information service to all CDD Services stakeholders.
The post holder will interact with a range of stakeholders across the consortium in performing their function in line with Trust standards and industry best practice.
The post holder must have an understanding of the stakeholder organisations SFIs and associated policies.
The post holder will attend stakeholders meetings to support the effective delivery of the service.
The post holder will have a working knowledge of electronic purchasing systems and the ability to actively manage their workload within such systems.
Participates in audits and information requested (including FOI) relating to purchasing activity within CDD Services.
Person Specification
Experience
* Working experience of operating within organisational policies.
* Experience of working in a team environment or equivalent.
* Experience of working to both agreed individual and team targets.
* Experience of analysing basic information and spend data to support decision making.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (in appropriate subject) or a Diploma in IM&T or equivalent experience.
* Working experience of Information systems.
* Working experience of Purchasing and Finance systems.
Special Skills & Knowledge
* Base level knowledge of operating within organisational policies, such as Standing Financial Instructions.
* Ability to work in accordance with the set standards, such as responding to queries within 48 hours.
* Ability to expedite information from systems.
* Ability to enter data, manipulate information, and interpret outputs.
* Ability to resolve helpdesk queries.
* Ability to clearly communicate with a variety of stakeholders (internal and external).
* Ability to analyse basic spend and product data.
* Ability to provide support and guidance to end-users.
* Ability to plan and prioritise own work.
* IT skills literate in Microsoft packages, including Outlook and Word.
* Must be pragmatic and structured.
