The Antenna mechanical engineering group collaborates closely with RF experts to design mechanical solutions and structures for antennas, ensuring stability, alignment, and support for up to 20 years in space.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop mechanical designs in collaboration with supporting functions
* Work with RF engineers to develop integrated RF/Mechanical solutions
* Provide mechanical design documentation and present at design reviews
* Develop and qualify new products, processes, and methods for antenna manufacturing
* Manage mechanical design projects, including schedule, budget, risk, and resources
* Coordinate with the project manager for integration with overall project plans
Candidate Requirements
* Knowledge of mechanical design principles for structures, preferably space hardware
* Understanding of mechanical and thermal analysis techniques, ideally in space environments
* Experience supporting mechanical testing
* Knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing methods
