The Role
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Web Developer to join our growing IT team in which you will be given exposure to new and exciting technologies and the opportunity for continual development and learning. This is an exciting role in developing cutting edge websites for the whole Convey group. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of our web platforms, make strategic improvements, and directly impact the success of our digital initiatives. Among your key responsibilities will be:
* Take full responsibility and ownership for the Convey Group’s websites, ensuring consistent quality, performance, and uptime.
* Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of website projects, from initial concept to launch and ongoing updates.
* Design, develop, and customise WordPress themes (such as Gutenberg and Elementor) and plugins ensuring sites are secure, SEO-optimised, and aligned with modern web standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to WordPress performance or functionality.
* Create and manage SharePoint-based intranet solutions to support internal collaboration and workflows.
* Customise SharePoint features and integrate with other tools to meet business needs.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand business goals and translate them into effective digital solutions.
* Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision.

The Individual
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable values and ethics that mirror our own culture values and to be successful in the recruitment process you will need to evidence at least 5 years’ experience of the following in your CV:
* Proven experience managing and developing WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins.
* Experience of integrating with bespoke APIs.
* Knowledge of SharePoint Online and experience building and maintaining intranet solutions.
* Experience managing multiple websites across different brands or business units.
* Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement solutions rapidly.
* Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
* Desirable to have knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and marketing platforms.
* Desirable to have strong UI and graphic design skills.
