HW Interim Solutions are seeking a highly skilled Interim Financial Controller to lead a small finance team through a crucial period, including the audit and year-end processes. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced financial professional to make a significant impact, ensuring financial operations are smooth, compliant, and insightful during this key phase. As Interim Financial Controller, you will oversee all aspects of financial reporting and controls, supporting the business with accurate, timely, and insightful financial data. You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure a seamless audit process and a robust year-end close. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors. Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and policies. Drive the year-end financial closing process, ensuring all deadlines are met and results are accurately presented. Review and enhance financial controls, implementing improvements as needed to support a smooth audit and close. Qualifications and Experience: ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with extensive post-qualification experience. Proven experience in a Financial Controller role Strong understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS Hands-on experience managing audits and financial year-end processes. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. 6-12 month FTC North East based - minimum 2 days per week onsite.
