Job Purpose: To ensure accurate and timely processing of all documentation, goods in/out, for our workshop parts stores. The parts stores is responsible for the safe keeping of parts and consumables for the workshop department to maintain company vehicles. HGVs, Trailers and company vans.
Reports To: Group Purchasing & Facilities Manager
Hours: 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
Specific Qualifications / Skills
* Educated to NVQ / GCSE standard
* Experience in a similar position is desirable but not essential
* Warehousing & Stores Level 2 or 3 Qualified is desirable but not essential
* Mechanical understanding and an understanding of HGV parts is essential.
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel) Spreadsheets (basic)
* Experience with Sage 200, desirable but not essential
* An effective communicator with good telephone manner
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Good Negotiation skills
* Team player with a flexible Can-Do attitude.
* Must have a valid UK Driving Licence
Company/Industry Knowledge
1. Inputting orders / deliveries on Sage 200
2. Maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and colleagues
3. Collects information to verify that the goods on the invoices were received into the stores
4. Carry out stock check and cycle counting
5. Carry out all necessary administration as required by the company to facilitate the smooth running of the stores operation.
6. Working in a warehouse / transport or logistics environment
7. Parts Experience is desirable
8. Collecting parts when urgent repairs are required
9. General Administrator Duties which may include but not is limited to:
* Answering phones and routing calls
* Answering and responding to emails
* Maintaining files and filing, photocopying,
* Maintaining spreadsheets
