About the Role: Deliver engaging Geography lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, focusing on developing geographical skills and knowledge of diverse environments and cultures. Plan and deliver lessons that integrate fieldwork, research, and the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to enhance student learning. Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including fieldwork reports, presentations, and written assessments, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the Geography department. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as geography clubs and environmental projects, promoting student engagement and fostering a passion for geography. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate geographical perspectives into the wider curriculum, promoting interdisciplinary learning. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Geography. Experience teaching Geography to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate students. Proficiency in using GIS software and other geographical technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging young minds in the study of geography. A strong commitment to promoting environmental awareness and global citizenship.
