Job Description:
The Service Delivery team is a core part of the Auction business, made up of Payments and Vendor support, both functions are responsible for delivering excellent customer service at all times to both buyers and vendors, and ensuring all processes are completed to a high level within the required timeframe/SLA. Ensuring sales are delivered successfully and customer service levels are of a high quality.
Scope of Role:
Responsible for providing effective and efficient support services to the Auction Centre on both sale and non-sale days, working as directed to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the payments office and provide customer service excellence at all times.
Objectives for Role:
* Responsible for dealing with general enquiries both at the front counter and over the telephone, ensuring these are dealt with in a timely manner, escalating to the relevant Manager as appropriate.
* Support with the processing of buyer payments via BACS or vehicle funding ensuring 100% accuracy of data as well as checking each payment thoroughly.
* Support with the processing of vendor payments, commissions, charges, sundry invoicing, and credit notes.
* Support with cancelled sales, buyer credit notes, and manual invoicing.
* Support with the processing of PCN (parking and police fines) ensuring data is sent to the relevant team in a timely fashion.
* Assist as directed to support the branch and its customers.
* Responsible for communicating with vendors to obtain finance clearance and ensuring the in-house system is updated resulting in on-time payments to our vendors.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
* Previous experience of working within a customer-facing role providing a high level of customer service.
* Demonstrable customer service skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Able to deal with difficult customers.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage time effectively, working to deadlines within a busy office environment.
