We are seeking a dedicated SEND Administrator to join our secondary school in Haringey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of SEND operations within a supportive and inclusive school environment. Role Overview As the SEND Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to the school’s SEND department, ensuring all processes related to SEND provision run efficiently. You will work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to support students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update the SEND register and all associated records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Coordinate and manage Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) documentation, reviews, and deadlines. Arrange and minute meetings with parents, external professionals, and staff, including annual reviews and multi-agency meetings. Manage correspondence between the school, parents, and external agencies, ensuring clear and timely communication. Support the SENCO with administrative tasks, including preparing reports and resources. Monitor and organize the SEND budget, tracking expenditure on resources and interventions. Maintain confidentiality and ensure data is stored in line with GDPR requirements. Assist in organizing staff training sessions related to SEND. What We’re Looking For Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within an education or SEND context. Familiarity with SEND processes and terminology is highly desirable. Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and school management systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor) is advantageous. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
