We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Bodywork Technician to join our growing team in North Leigh, near Oxford. This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. No evenings and no weekends.
Responsibilities:
1. Appraising new stock arrivals and final quality checks after reconditioning.
2. Rectifying body marks, smart repair, painting, welding, machine operated polishing.
3. Stripping, filling and reshaping damaged panels to rectify ready for sale.
4. Preparing and painting body panels.
5. Refinishing after painting using appropriate polishing techniques to give a high quality showroom ready appearance.
6. Replacing body mouldings and external bolt on parts such as lamps, plastic trim and bumpers.
7. Installation of accessories.
8. Fabrication and fitment of handrails.
9. Fitting side steps.
10. Reconditioning interior.
11. Replacement of broken seat backs.
12. Replacement of ripped seat covers.
13. Replacement of damaged or heavily worn interior trim.
14. Repairing heavily worn carpet and flooring.
15. Replacing broken switch gear.
16. Basic and non-qualified mechanical work i.e. checking engine levels, changing bulbs, making number plates and replacing parts.
17. Vehicle valeting.
18. Exterior cleaning and decontaminating.
19. Engine bay cleaning.
20. Interior deep clean; vacuuming, shampooing upholstery and carpets.
21. Ensuring a consistent high standard of vehicle presentation within the forecourt / vehicle storage environment.
22. Keeping the workshop and premises clean, tidy and well presented.
23. Collecting and delivering vehicles and other logistics support to speed up the preparation of the sales vehicles.
24. General housekeeping to support the business.
Expectations:
1. Ensure our vehicles are prepared to the highest standard to exceed our customers’ expectations.
2. General understanding of the workings of various types of vehicles.
3. A methodical approach.
4. Fastidious attention to detail.
5. Driving license essential with D1 Classification desirable.
6. Ability to follow safety procedures and manufacturers' instructions and warnings for different cleaning products.
7. The ability to work to your own initiative as well as an effective team member.
8. Punctual with the ability to schedule and prioritise work effectively.
9. Well-presented and polite around customers and visitors.
10. Maintaining a safe working environment and professional image.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
