Required to start as soon as possible, Uffculme School is looking for an experienced finance officer who is able to manage its day-to-day financial routines across three sites as well as supporting in ensuring that the school maintains high standards in the management of its delegated funds.
Uffculme School offers co-education for children and young people of the ages 3 to 19 years from all parts of the city. Our students represent the wide cultural mix that makes up the general population of Birmingham. We are a successful school with a long and proven track record of providing high quality education for young people with a primary diagnosis of ASD. We currently cater for over 300 children on our three sites.
This is a busy and varied role. The successful candidate will not only co-ordinate the core financial function within the school, but will, alongside the administration team, also anticipate and plan for the many demands of school life.
We require a candidate who:
* Has proven experience working at an operational level in school’s finance.
* Has a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
* Is able to work dependently, demonstrating initiative and pro-activity, as well as supporting colleagues as part of a team.
* Has good ICT skills, including the use of Excel and Word.
* Has excellent attention to detail and is meticulous in their approach to work tasks.
* Is able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
* Will work flexibly, positively and constructively within their team and with other colleagues.
* Thinks creatively and imaginatively and identifies opportunities.
* Will promote our core values and ethos.
