Shot Blaster Location -Thornliebank Rate of Pay - £12.00ph Our client is looking for a Shot Blaster, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces by using abrasive equipment to remove paint, rust, dirt, or other contaminants. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that all surfaces are properly cleaned and ready for painting. There is an occasional requirement for overtime which can start at 6am, so please bare this in mind when applying. Overtime is paid at time 1/2 and double time after 4hrs on the weekends. Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.45pm Friday 8am-12pm FLT license would be beneficial but the client would consider putting the right candidate through a course. Responsibilities: - Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting - Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment - Inspect surfaces to identify any defects or imperfections - Maintain equipment and perform regular maintenance checks - Collaborate with team members to meet production goals Skills: - Experience in assembling and disassembling components - Mechanical knowledge to operate blasting equipment - Ability to use power tools - Familiarity with hand tools for detailed work - Capability to fabricate materials as needed - Experience in a factory/workshop setting is beneficial - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Exchange People are a family-run Employment Business, proudly providing people in North-West England and Central Scotland with careers since 1997.
