The Council Property assets include circa 4,500 residential properties and 300 retail, industrial and operational properties. Notable in the portfolio is the recent development in Beeston Town Centre including a cinema, restaurant, and business premises.
Job Description
* Lead and manage the Asset Management & Development division.
* Reporting directly into the Deputy Chief Executive.
* Responsibility for circa 4,500 residential properties and 300 commercial units.
* Maintenance & construction.
* Health & Safety and CDM.
* Compliance management including fire safety, asbestos, legionella, and M&E.
* Retrofit decarbonisation projects.
* Acquisitions of new properties.
* Financial management.
* Represent the department at senior management meetings and public engagements.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Asset Management & Development should have:
* Relevant construction qualifications.
* Proven track record operating in the social housing sector.
* Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, property management, and development strategies.
* Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
