The Waste Operative will undertake a range of duties required to operate the Gremista Waste Management Facility.
He/she has responsibility, both individually and as a member of a team, for the operation of a waste disposal location, landfill site, transfer site or treatment site.
Duties include:
* Driving associated vehicles eg. JCB excavators, loading shovel and the operation of plant and equipment at the site.
* Traffic control of all site users
* Ensuring general site tidiness and cleanliness including site offices and facilities
* Dealing with the public on the weighbridge and raising the appropriate paperwork eg. waste transfer notes in accordance with legislative requirements
* Instructing contractors and the public on disposal arrangements and ensuring they comply with the rules and regulations
* Manual handling of waste materials

* Salary shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £2,859 per annum (pro rata)
* Permanent Full Time post for 37.0 Hours per Week, 52.18 weeks per year
