Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for 3 highly motivated individuals with a passion for public health and health improvement, to join the Public Health Team of Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The post-holders will support work across the geographical area of Wrexham & Flintshire in addition to working regionally across North Wales on projects or programmes within the annual work plan.
The successful candidates will lead and support a programme of public health work, based on the public health priorities within North Wales such as tobacco control, reducing alcohol harm, sexual health, physical activity, healthy weight, mental health and wellbeing, healthcare public health and reducing health inequalities.
The post-holder should be prepared to travel across the North Wales area, and will spend part of their time in the office and part of their time working from home, as well as attending face-to-face meetings. The positions are based in the Public Health Wales Preswylfa Office in Mold, Flintshire. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person specification
Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* Masters or equivalent experience in Public Health/Health Promotion or allied discipline or equivalent professional qualification
* Evidence of continuing professional/personal development.
* Practical knowledge of public health practice, health promotion models and community development.
* Understanding of NHS/local government policy agenda and Public Health environment.
Experience
* Experience in public health/health promotion.
* Experience of working across a number of organisations/sectors and/or with a number of programmes, including development, managing and evaluation of significant elements of work.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Excellent communication and analytical skills
* Ability to initiate and implement programmes that promote health and well-being.
* Data collection and analysis
Values
* Ability to prioritise, plan and manage workload.
* Team player
To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa, unless you have permission to work via another route.
