Are you an experienced and passionate teacher with a dedication to supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)? We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time SEN Primary School Teacher in Colne, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners.
About the Role:
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored learning experiences to students with a range of special educational needs, ensuring they reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Your role will involve adapting lessons, developing personalised strategies, and providing support that meets the unique needs of each child. You will work closely with a team of professionals to create a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and inclusive lessons for students with SEN.
2. Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring progress and achievement for all.
3. Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
4. Manage behaviour positively and promote an environment of respect and inclusion.
5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and celebrating successes.
6. Support the social and emotional development of students, encouraging confidence and independence.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience teaching students with SEN in a primary school setting.
3. A creative and flexible approach to teaching, with the ability to adapt to individual learning needs.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
5. Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young learners.
