Our Innovation Advisory team provide strategic advice and innovation development services to construction and infrastructure clients in the UK and internationally. Working in partnership with our wider expertise in organisational design and technical services.
The Opportunity
Our Advisory Services business is growing in the North West and Yorkshire region; owing to a strong increase in the demand for our expertise. As a result, we are seeking a well-rounded and enthusiastic individual to join our ambitious team. The role is well suited for a highly motivated self-starter, comfortable working individually and leading others, bringing specialist knowledge whilst playing a key role in multi-disciplinary teams and developing our wider innovation advisory services.
In your role, you will work alongside other specialists in our Assets and Operations Advisory team, and colleagues across Arup, to deliver a wide variety of innovation focused activities and organisational design projects. Our work helps shape the vision and the long-term approaches to innovation for our clients. Working alongside wider disciplines to complete studies, interventions and strategies for our clients centred on Innovation, R&D and organisational improvement. You will also provide input into project business cases, strategies, and delivery models to embed robust and pragmatic innovation and operational management practices.
As a senior consultant, you will be comfortable with uncertainty, have an ability to work across a variety of clients and projects with a focus on the built environment, water, transport & energy sectors. Our ideal candidate will play an integral role in supporting clients through their transformational challenges and identifying new value that can be addressed via well-designed innovation initiatives and operational consultancy.
Is this role right for you?
We are looking for individuals with knowledge and growing experience in embedding excellence into end-to-end innovation across the built environment. This is likely to include:
* Knowledge, skills, and experience in innovation.
* Experience in process or technological innovation, this may also include an understanding of innovation frameworks, portfolio management, metrics & monitoring, and innovation or organisation maturity assessment.
* Knowledge of working with regulated sectors such as Highways, Rail, Water and Energy is desirable.
* Experience in managing, supporting, or consulting on innovation programmes, accelerators, and competitions is a plus.
* Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and programmes of work. Supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
