Salary: £75 - £100 per day

GSL Education Newcastle are searching for a skilled Pri mary Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant Primary school community to work with our client primary schools in Newcastle for the upcoming term of September 2024.
Job Summary: The HLTA will provide high-quality support to teachers and pupils across the primary phase, including delivering lessons, supervising classes without the teacher, and providing targeted support to individual and small groups of students.
Responsibilities:
* Lead classes under the direction of the teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons for KS1 and KS2 as a High Level Teaching Assistant.
* Provide support and guidance to pupils in their learning activities.
* Assist with the planning and preparation of teaching materials and resources.
* Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress.
* Maintain essential records of student progress and intervention.
* Implement diverse strategies to effectively address the individual needs of each student.
* Attending to the child's personal needs and implementing related personal programs, including social, health, physical hygiene and welfare matters.
Requirements:
* Teaching Assistant qualification ( CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ) is ideal but not compulsory.
* Previous experience as a HLTA is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational setting.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
* Strong understanding of educational principles and best practices
* Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
