We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Planner to join our existing team at our Leeds Head Office. The Role: To provide forward plans for a designated range of products that supports sales and provides forward visibility to Manufacturing and the Supply Chain team in relation to capacity and parts requirements. Responsibilities: Work with Suppliers to ensure stock planning and ordering supports the forward schedule and forecast as agreed by the business. Raise Purchase Orders against suppliers and manage suppliers to ensure On-Time In-Full (OTIF). Understand usage trends and adjust Purchase Orders accordingly. Drive costs down by working with suppliers to achieve best price, MOQ’s and lead times while ensuring goods ordered are within required specification. Support production by ensuring all materials are available when required whilst maintaining inventory levels. Work with Sales team to monitor and improve forecast accuracy. Update Customer services in a timely manner of any changes that could affect patient orders. Working closely with Customer Services on any returns Regularly update the management team on delivery performance, potential risks, and any known shortages to support continuous improvement. Manage order book with suppliers and any supplier supply issues, looking for alternative supply if necessary. Support the Data Management team with key information on supplier lead times, reorder points, safety stock levels, and pricing to enhance data accuracy. Work closely with Quality to quickly resolve any quality issues with suppliers. Partner with the Compliance team to ensure all suppliers adhere to ISO 13485 standards, maintaining high levels of regulatory compliance. Collaborate with the Finance team to resolve any invoice discrepancies or queries in a timely manner. What we are looking for: High attention to detail and experience working with data to make accurate conclusions and predictions Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of building long-term relationships at all levels and delivering exceptional customer service. Strong IT and mathematical skills (Advanced MS Excel an advantage) Planning experience in a fast-paced environment Use of a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system desired, but training will be provided Strong analytical skills to optimize inventory management, develop and measure KPIs, and use data to drive performance improvements and achieve strategic results. Ability to multi-task and time manage independently; ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment Dedicated to meeting deadlines, staying accountable, and following through on commitments, always striving for excellence.
