This role will be reporting to the MD and working closely with him to develop and expand the business.
This business is within the hospitality industry and they are seeking a Financial Controller to join their small office team. This will be a hands-on role and they will require someone who will also be involved in more day-to-day activities as well as reporting and presenting to the board of shareholders.
Job Description for the Financial Controller role:
1. Posting and preparation of monthly management accounts
2. Monthly stock reconciliation
3. Weekly bank and monthly balance sheet analysis
4. Preparation of monthly financial reporting packs
5. Circulate weekly flash P&Ls
6. Effective management and control of all capital revenue budgets.
7. Cash flow forecasting and reporting.
8. Closely monitor costs and suggest cost savings
9. Maintain accurate Theoretical cost models on products
10. Manage external relationships - Bank/Insurance/Auditors.
11. Debtor management
12. Responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts and managing the annual audit
13. Manage and monitor staff holidays and sickness as well as reviewing all policies and staff handbook.
14. Managing the accounts assistant
For the Financial Controller role, it would be good to see candidates with:
1. Ideally qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
2. Previous experience of working within a manufacturing business
3. Proven experience in a similar role
4. Someone who can evidence being hands-on in their approach
5. Reporting and presenting experience
6. Ideally supervisory experience
Hours: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 Per Annum
