Let us introduce the role:
AWE has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join our Technology Development Group, bringing their experience to AWE and successfully playing a key role in delivering for our customers.
Working within our Plasma Diagnostic Support Team, you'll assist with the assembly and testing of bespoke hardware and support engineers and scientists in conducting laboratory experiments.
On a day-to-day basis, you will apply and hone your skills, working in accordance with task instructions in a safe and effective manner while maintaining a clean, safe, and secure environment within the laboratory.

Orion - the largest and most powerful laser system and experimental facility for high-energy density physics in the UK, recreating physical conditions in the lab like those found in the heart of the sun.
Who are we looking for?
While not a tick list, we'd like you to have experience in some of the following:
* Practical Electrical/Electronic qualification(s) and/or experience in maintaining, fault finding, and repairing electrical systems down to modular level.
* Experience working in a laboratory/workshop environment.
* Familiarity with testing and measuring equipment, such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.
