Job summary Fancy a new challenge? We are looking for a band 7 ward manager on a 1 year secondment to lead SEU D side. D side has 24 beds consisting of 12 urgent care beds and 12 surgical beds. It is a fast paced area caring for patients with a wide variety of emergency surgical and medical conditions, including pancreatitis, bowel obstruction and sepsis. In this busy and innovative ward, we are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional with the passion and drive to lead the existing team to provide the highest quality care to their patients. The successful post holder will work very closely with the Ward Managers across SEU, our medical team and all health care professionals. You will be expected to provide clinical leadership to the nursing staff, whilst ensuring that an efficient nursing service and a high standard of patient care is maintained. As this post is to work alongside an existing band 7 team, we would welcome applications from experienced band 6's wishing to develop into a band 7 Sister/Charge nurse.
