* To lead oneffective safeguarding and pupil welfare strategies and plans toensure the safety and emotional wellbeing of our students
* To providedetailed and effective advice on Positive Behaviour Profiles andBehaviour Support Plans, based upon behaviour data from both partsof the School
* To provideadvice and guidance with regards to existing profiles and plans, toensure that they are effective and up to date
* To monitorsafeguarding, health, accident, injury and damage incidents withinall year groups and make positive interventions, analysis andrecommendations when necessary via SLT
* To identifypersonal issues that are affecting students’ performance andlearning and inform appropriate and relevant managers and staff toassist where required
* Workingdirectly with students, families and agencies to address barriersto learning which include bullying, discrimination, attendance andwelfare issues
* To monitorattendance and truancy issues and devise and implement interventionstrategies to improve these issues in accordance with our studentAttendance Policy
* To produceAttendance action plans for each student falling below90%
* To Communicate and liaise with teaching staff to improve therelationships with students in the School
* To befriendly, helpful and welcoming to parents and others visiting toensure that positive relationships are created andmaintained
* To developpositive relationships with students Contribute as part of amultidisciplinary team to achieve best outcomes with regards topositive behaviour support
* To keep up todate on relevant legislation and guidance, briefing key people onany changes as required
* To monitor thequality of positive handling support (STRIIDE) through evidencebased systems and give advice and guidance as appropriate followingeach handling intervention
* To contributeto the review of relevant policies in relation to positive handlingsupport (STRIIDE) and to assist with the setting up of any relevantinternal systems as required
* To be thedesignated Safeguarding Officer for the whole School
* To initiatecontact with other agencies on behalf of the School and to liaisewith all parties on a regular basis
* To representthe School when requested at Interagency or other professionalmeetings
